PEPR TREASURE · Work Packages 4 & 5
Precision diagnostics & artificial intelligence
WP4 and WP5 work in close synergy: WP4 generates high-precision biological and diagnostic data, which WP5 leverages throughartificial intelligence to design predictive and prognostic clinical tools.
- Liquid biopsy (cfDNA)
- Molecular profiling
- Deep Learning
- Digital twins
High-precision biological data
Push the limits of graft-disease assessment and anticipate rejection, while reducing the need for invasive biopsies.
Non-invasive biomarkers (liquid biopsy)
Assess the potential of cell-free circulating DNA (cfDNA) in blood as a universal, early indicator of injury to the transplanted organ.
Molecular biopsy (mRNA profiling)
Using a specific gene panel (B-HOT), detect signatures linked to rejection, tissue injury or viral infections (BKV, CMV, EBV) to refine conventional histology diagnoses.
Digital biopsy and spatial profiling
Objectively quantify lesions with Deep Learning and, through digital spatial profiling, map the distribution of genes and immune cells directly on biopsies — a cell-level reading of the immune response.
Interpretation through artificial intelligence
WP5 leverages WP4’s assays, biomarkers and tissue data through machine-learning models supporting patient monitoring. These predictive models — graft allocation, rejection scores, digital twins — form the core of the AI transplant clinic.
Discover WP6 — AI clinic →In summary
By combining WP4’s unprecedented analytical resolution with WP5’s AI predictive power, TREASURE aims to transform post-transplant care: replacing reactive follow-up withpersonalised, anticipatory and far less invasive medicine.
